In marketing, Key Performance Indicators, or KPIs, are metrics that marketers track to measure the performance of a campaign relative to their goals. KPIs are often chosen based on the end goal of a campaign. 

For instance, KPIs an abandoned cart email campaign might include email click-through rate, the total abandoned carts, and total recovered carts (i.e. purchase conversions) associated with the messaging campaign.
