The Dogs of OneSignal: Our Remote-First Office Companions
At OneSignal, we are proud to be a remote-first team. This means our “office” comes with all kinds of unique perks. For many of us, one of those perks is the company of our canine coworkers. Whether they are curled up next to us during meetings, making surprise appearances in our #dogs Slack channel, or stealing the occasional keyboard space, these pups are an important part of our day.
As we are wrapping up the dog days of summer, we wanted to celebrate some of the four-legged colleagues who bring us joy and keep us company throughout the workday. This is not a complete list of OneSignal pets, but today the spotlight belongs to the dogs.
Meet the dogs!
Guinness
Role: Trick Master in Training
Owner: Paul, Senior Software Engineer - Journeys
One of the youngest pups at OneSignal, Guinness is already a quick study. He has mastered sit, down, spin, rollover, and even play dead, all before growing into those big ears.
Dennis
Role: Curtain Stylist & Cozy Corner Supervisor
Owner: Marc, Customer Support Engineer
Dennis has perfected the art of blending home décor with personal style. He is often spotted wearing the living room curtains like a jaunty hat.
Pierre
Role: Sunshine Coordinator
Owner: Isabelle, Commercial AE
Pierre has mastered the art of work-life balance. He recently joined Isabelle on a work trip from NYC to Santa Monica which made every moment feel like a vacation.
Rosco
Role: Front Door Security Officer
Owner: Meaghan, Senior HR Generalist
Rosco lives for pup cups, claiming the best seats (even when they are off-limits), and keeping a watchful eye on all comings and goings. Here he is in peak shaggy, unkempt glory.
Frank
Role: Chief Security Officer
Owner: Brayden, Software Engineer - Integrations and Tooling
After a long day of guarding the home from dangerous “intruders” (mostly other dogs walking by), Frank knows how to unwind. She prefers to do so upside down on the couch.
Auggie
Role: Keyboard Interference Specialist
Owner: Zoe, Customer Success Manager
Auggie, short for Augustus, is a big-headed best friend with an even bigger heart. He is known for poking his nose into all of Zoe’s business and her keyboard. It is impossible to say no to that face.
Blitz
Role: Coworker in Training
Owner: Anissa, Commercial AE
At just 1.5 years old, Blitz is still learning the ropes of remote work. His current challenge is understanding that when we work, we work. Naps and playtime come later.
Goose
Role: Professional Nap Enthusiast
Owner: Julia, Technical Recruiter
Goose takes a very relaxed approach to the workday. He often swaps meetings for naps and trades tasks for tennis ball breaks. Today’s status is slacking off in style.
Links
Role: Slack Monitor
Owner: Taylor, Senior Events Marketing Manager
Links takes his job seriously, keeping a close eye on Slack whenever the computer is left unattended. Of course, it is possible he is just after the prime couch spot and a cozy blanket.
Ripley
Role: Chief Drama Officer
Owner: Brian, Content Marketing Specialist
Ripley negotiates belly rubs like high-stakes deals and can melt hearts with one manipulative glance. Slightly terrified of life’s everyday sounds, she makes up for it by ruling the couch with an iron paw.
Finn
Role: Chief Ball Finder (But Not Retriever)
Owner: Blaine, Eng Manager - Email
Finn’s park strategy is simple. Locate the ball, then keep it forever. After walks, he often shows off his signature “I do not want to go inside” face which is hard to resist.
Millie
Role: Couch Rule Negotiator
Owner: Dean, Sr. Software Engineer, Analytics
Millie knows she is not supposed to be on the couch without wiping her paws first. She also knows how to work her big-eyed charm. Do not be fooled, that is 20 pounds of pure teenage attitude.
Why we love our canine coworkers
Dogs may not attend our meetings intentionally, but they bring joy, companionship, and a little bit of chaos to our days. Whether they are curled up by our desks, waiting for their next walk, or “helping” with emails, they are part of the team.
At OneSignal, we believe work should fit into your life, not the other way around. Whether you have a dog, cat, or cactus for company, we are a place where you can do great work and enjoy the perks of home.
